We often see people in the Bible giving new names to places, reflecting how God showed up in a powerful way in that place. Then, in Revelation it says, "To him that overcomes I will give a white stone, and in that stone a new name written..." George MacDonald writes, "...the giving of the white stone with the new name is the communication of what God thinks about the man to the man..." How exciting that God has given this church the new name "Grace River." God believes that we can be a people who experience God's grace in Jesus and then allow it to flow through us to touch the lives of many other people. Let's bear the name well, for the glory of Jesus Christ! |  | |||||
