Welcome to First Baptist Church.  We invite you to join with us in a new life of joy, meaning and purpose with Jesus Christ. We look forward to meeting new people, learning more about what God is doing in your life, and expanding our vision for the life giving power of Jesus.

People come to First Baptist Church and meet Jesus Christ.  You will find that we come from many different experiences and backgrounds: old and young; men and women; nurses, teachers, laborers, mechanics, custodians, accountants, painters, and clerks; Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, Pentecostals and Charismatics; seekers, brand new believers and long time believers.  We have one thing in common.  God’s grace has been extended to us in the love and new life we have found in Jesus Christ. His Holy Spirit working in our lives gives us healing, transformation, energy and power for life filled with new hope, peace, and joy.

Every Sunday morning we have two opportunities to worship.  The worship services, though different in style, are both times of praise and worship as well as times to listen for God to speak into your life.  Each service has opportunity for ministry and prayer, inviting God to bring healing, help, and guidance into your life.  Each Sunday, we invite the Holy Spirit to move in and through us as we worship God.

·        8:30 am Traditional Worship.  During this hour long worship time, we sing from hymnals accompanied by an organ or piano.  The atmosphere tends to be quiet, reflective and structured.

·        9:40 am Children’s Sunday School and Youth/Adult Small Groups for Bible Study and fellowship.

·        11:00 am Contemporary Worship.  During this extended time of worship we sing contemporary praise and worship songs accompanied by a full band and worship team. The atmosphere tends to be more energetic and free flowing.  Often there are times of ministry and prayer during the service.
